This is probably the most conventional portrait I've done so far, simply called 'Ana', after the subject. My only real thought behind this was "Can I paint a picture of someone entirely in an achromatic palette?". And the answer to that one? Er...no. I loved painting this one though, it was my first painting after a 10/11 year hiatus, and it was great to see something emerging from the canvas that was more or less what I'd envisaged.
